With an ideal opportunity in information dissemination, the metropolis is home to regional and transnational advertising and mass media companies.  International news organizations like the Associated Press, Agence France Presse, BBC, CNN, Reuters, and the MBC have established their bureaus or regional offices in the Dubai Media City (DMC).  The DMC alone, offers tax benefits and the advantages of freedom of speech as well.

Adding color in the social lifestyle in Dubai are the themed bars, international cuisines and entertainment hubs - from ballet to pop bands to opera. It is also a center stage for international sporting events, from football to tennis and from the equestrian to air shows.

The market growth in Dubai has seen more luxurious residences, apartments and other developments being built in the metropolis such as Downtown Burj Dubai and Dubai Marina.

Dubai has a land area of 4,114 sq. km, and population of 2.261 million. As the population growth rises, the government will spend about AED 52.5 billion over the next five years building roads, bridges and a metro network.
